It's been a strange year.
Between COVID-19, protests, shootings, politics and climate change, it's no wonder liquor sales have sky rocketed.
According to the current guidelines in a Global News article on Dec 10, 2020, women are to drink no more than 10 alcohol beverages a week, and men, no more than 15. I'm usually well under the suggested quota, and never worry about this stuff, but this past holiday season definitely had me sipping more wine and beer than usual.
So, back I go to a healthy routine of eating clean, hiking, skiing, spending some quiet time with myself and self care. It's a new year after all, so there's no better time than now to shake off the old and make room for the new.
But we're not out of the woods yet, so be sure to stay positive, do things that bring you joy, try something new or take on that project that you just never had time for.
As for me, I'll continue with daily meditation, yoga, skiing, writing songs and enjoying the trails whenever I can. Nature, fresh air, tuning in and exercise have a way of keeping me centred.
